*time's up!* I want you to have this.
*Time's up!* Winner will be announced shortly...
Really, I want each and every one of you to have this.
Unfortunately, I don't have 30,000 of them, I only have one.
It's a rainbow mini skein set. One ounce each of our nine new spring colorways: Brandy Alexander, Cosmo, Mimosa, Creamsicle, Mojito, Agua Vida, Curaçao, Ice Blue Raspberry, and Passion Punch. That's 2-1/4 skeins of yarn.
These sets are pretty irresistible, and the possibilities are endless. You can use them to make stripes, you can use just a couple of colorways together at a time, you can use them for trim, for contrasting heels and toes, or for a project that requires small blocks of color.
I would LOVE to see a log cabin pillow top, or a chevron scarf with skinny color changes. I would ADORE seeing a sweet striped sweater for a little one. It would THRILL me if someone made these into knee socks or a stocking cap.
The set I'm giving away is dyed on Springvale Sport, which can be knit like a heavy fingering weight for socks, or as a true sport weight for sweaters and scarves and such. It's delishy and squishy.
Don't mind me and my made up adjectives.
These sets are currently available only through retailers, but here's your chance to win one.
To enter, please leave a comment describing what you would do with this set if you won. I will use a random number generator to select a winner tomorrow, Wednesday, May 26th, at 1:00 pm, Central Time. The winner will be posted here. One entry per person, please.
Good luck!

If I had these lovelies I would first use approximately 2.5 grams worth from each mini hank to finish off my Sock Yarn Blankie (http://www.froggieknitslikecrazy.com/2010/03/one-thousand-words.html). Then I would take the remaining yardage and make a pair of Rainbow fingerless gloves to wear during the winter - they would keep my hands warm and brighten up the glum, overcast days. They'd also serve as a reminder that Spring is right around the corner!
Love, love, love! I would knit some beautiful things for my brand new niece! Count me in! :)
i would make an awesome sweater for my hairless cat, and a matching hat and scarf for my two year old daughter! seriously.
I would knit socks for my little son-to-be! I'd knit a pair of socks in each color, with contrasting toes and cuffs for some. It would be the cutest thing ever.
I'd love to make a rainbow scarf all for myself! And maybe I'd share it with the kids if they ask nicely :)
My first pair of knee high socks!
Cute, cute, cute pair of mittens!
If I won this beautiful yarn I would knit a scarf or shawl for each member of my knitting and crafting group called LASCATS which stands for Ladies Anarchist Sewing Crafts and Terrorist Society. No we aren't really terrorists but we are mercinary about our fiber arts and the different colorways would make an awesome gift for each lady. There are four of us each with our own personalities and skin/hair/eye coloring. The rainbow of colors would make it so I could give each lady the color that would look best on them!
Heck even if I don't win I might just do this anyway! :)
I'd make a random number generator cosy!
I have about a million friends having babies right now (okay, maybe closer to 5 or 6) and I would make a baby sweater or carseat blanket with them!
A child's sweater probably size 4 filling in with a solid that coordinates.
ahhhhh, this set would be perfect for a baby set i want to make for my financial adviser (who is due in August with her first little girl). a little sweater, a blankie, booties & bonnet, all in lovely rainbow hues.
I would make rainbow knee high socks for me and matching itty bitty socks for my daughter!
I would surely make something fabulous for my grandbaby due early 2010!
Rainbow knee socks for me or a modified Tulip sweater for a little one. That would be fantastic.
Stripey Socks, or a baby surprise jacket ... either way, awesomeness! :)
I really like the idea of stripy socks! But these could also be a really cool set of stripy gloves with each finger a different color (well, maybe the two thumbs would have to be the same)
Beautiful! I am in awe! It looks like a toddler girls sweater to me. ;)
I would make a throw pillow case so I could have it displayed in my living room at all times. As my antique game table isn't loaded with TIG anyway...it would be a delightful accent piece.
After I petted it and put it on my table to stare at all day (like a bouquet). I would make a shawl out of it and alternate colors as I worked it to blend the lovely colors together. Then I would give it to my best friend so she could have a piece of me with her since we rarely get to see each other anymore. And after my friend and I quit sobbing I would take a picture and send it to you.
