TIME’S UP! Biggest yarn giveaway… ever!

Time is up! We'll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, "Cool," that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We're not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don't have to buy anything, you don't even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here's how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User's Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I've given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I'm not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I'm looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER'S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :)GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Clare, for sure, to make an awesome pair of socks!

I think Devin is gorgeous. I think it would make a lovely cabled scarf.

I would love to make socks out of each colorway! I think my favorites are Erin and Jack!

This is hilarious....I don't know how I ended up here, but I was glancing around at work and found something you'd posted on Ravelry. Now, here I've ended up at your blog!

I love JACK! The colors are amazing...I would love to make matching socks and booties for me and my little one (due in June)...I'm not usually into matching stuff, but I was inspired by this colorway.

Well, they are all almost too beautiful. I suppose I have to choose, though, so I would knit a luscious, manly cabled scarf for my dad for his upcoming trip to Ireland. In Erin, of course.

Jack, Jack, Jack! I'd make a little summer sweater, to go everywhere with us that she could get chilly. That colorway starts out sort of soft and then gets so spunky...just like my little girl!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMelinda

I love the unique color combinations in Jack. I would make a lovely warm pair of socks with a pattern to show off the colors in the most lovely way.

Your Lookbook is worth perusing just for the photography! Of course, being a knitter, I'm not in it just for the pictures, so if a skein of Madigan (Maeve, Jack, Kate, Erin...) showed up on my doorstep it would not go unloved.

Those are beautiful yarns - all of them...My favorite is JACK...

and I am thinking a scarf or socks...

Hi, that's such a sweet contest! I'm in love with most of your yarns now... that's not good. I would like most either Maeve, Madigan or Erin but all the others are gorgeous too! I think I would make socks or mitts and with the rest of it, I would add to my sock blanket!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterthalassa

This was a difficult choice for me, especially between Maura and Maeve - they both spoke to me for different reasons. With Maeve, I am thinking a super fun pair of socks. With Maura, I think I might actually knit the one thing I have never knit....believe it or not...a scarf. :) I have been knitting off and on for twenty years (only seriously for the last five-ish, but still) and I have never knit a scarf!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBliss

I would choose the madigan yarn and make a fluffy cowl with it as I just cut my hair and my neck is bare. All of the yarn is gorgeous!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commentertori

Kieran wants to come to my house and become the prettiest Ishbel shawl ever!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterThuy

Maeve! I would make an Irish Shawl, how beautiful would that be? With this yarn I could pick any pattern and have a winner, just some of the most beautiful yarn I have seen!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJudy

Oh dear lord! I can only pick one? I love them all but I think Brady would follow me home for sure.
I would probably make a baby sweater for charity, or maybe a scarf, or a small shawl, or I dont know. Maybe just pet it until it tells me what it wants to be.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commentermargie wood

I absolutely love Maguire, Fionn, & Cara. I have been wanting to knit a giant afghan for my bed in aqua shades, and they are perfect

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAndrea

Devin most assuredly. I would knit my MIL something wonderful, perhaps a cardigan (she's a first grade teacher) or a beautiful wrap to wear to an upcoming wedding.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLena

has to be maura and I'd do a darling cropped jacket using a mathematical compilation so the repeat is realized in avery cool pattern!! awesome for any season

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterCheryl Cohen

A floppy beret in Madigan, please! Oh, oh, on a parkbench...

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLara

Devin. I would make socks.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterA. C.

Kate, Claire, Maeve would all sit and get petted until I was good enough to knit them into a beautiful lace something.
Since I am newish to knitting I might have felted them by then by all the petting...LOL

The color I would choose would be mauve. And I would make something for my mom. She's got brain cancer and things have been rather rough lately. Maybe a hat as she doesn't have much hair at the moment. Or a little shawl because she's always cold. Or just a little something she could bring to the hospital to brighten up her day.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterjackie

Maeve, definitely. And I'd use it for a scarf, something lacey.

Beautiful yarn, ladies. xo

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJulie

Cameron.

I love Autumn. Everything about it is happiness. The leaves that crunch under your feet and the crispness of the air. The last sounds of children playing before it gets too cold.

I'd want to make perhaps a pair of gloves or some kind of scarf or neck warmer. Something to match the season the color reminds me of.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAmanda

I just fell in LOVE with the Kate colorway!! My best friend is expecting...it's her first, and we found out last week that it's a baby girl! :)

Heather, the mommy-to-be, has never been a girly-girl so she really really doesn't like pastely baby colors like pale pink, so this colorway would be PERFECT, it's gorgeous and just girly enough without being "Sissy" as Heather would put it! :)
